Summary of the Position:
Design Architect is responsible for the design and specification of projects to materialize ideas as according to client’s expectations; this role is expected to discuss with stakeholders on vision, conduct research into local regulations and building code.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct meetings with stakeholders to identify design requirements.
- Prepare design documents, such as drawings, visuals, development data, presentation & reports.
- Prepare report/findings through graphic illustrations and translate complex findings into written text.
- Prepare and review concept, schematic, design development, tender & construction drawings to ensure design requirements are met.
- Prepare and review project/technical specifications.
- Ensure information is available before commencing design, design brief, As-Built, survey plan, etc.
- Prepare recommendations to improve safety, practicality, cost efficiency, aesthetic, value, function and reduce design error.
- Initiate site visits and compile design related information as project-learning.
- Ensure design is compliant with standards, building code, guidelines, regulations and/or best practices.
- Coordinate with other in-house trades (Design Engineers/Interior Designer)
- Perform other tasks assigned by management.
Job Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture/Interior Design/Landscape/Engineering Science
- At least 4 years of experience as a designer in consultant (preferred) or developer firm
- Fluent in English / Khmer
- In-depth technical knowledge in production of images, illustrations & presentations
- Proficient in industry-standard design tools & programs; AutoCAD, SketchUp, MS. Office & In-Design
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
- Able to multi-task and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Able to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Able to present a portfolio of completed design works
