Concept & business development – While many parts of the Factory are operational, there are still a lot of areas that have to be implemented, and refined, and many others that have not been thought of. I large part of this job involves looking for new opportunities to work toward the vision, drafting concepts, and then finding the right people to execute.
Lead the team – as the face of the project this position has to keep the entire Factory team in line with the vision and be an example.
Management
Develop and oversee the annual budget for the Factory
Identify staff needs & assist with recruitment
Liaise with potential clients & tenants
Assist with contract development – With assistance from key staff and an attorney, this position will be defining many of the terms for partnerships and special tenants;
Manage and Review – Manages and is on top of line managers’ tasks as well as provides direction, feedback, and support to the team members to meet goals, supporting multiple projects simultaneously from concept through execution.
Leads & oversees all aspects of each department, from marketing ideas and original concepts to overseeing operational (construction) works, leasing leads, community events, public events, internal and external communications
Oversee project branding & communications
Public Relations, Marketing & Communications
Act as “face of the project” until local replacements identified
Oversee all public communications to ensure that messaging matches the Factory brand and values
– this will involve some writing or engaging a third-party writer or editor.
Collaborates – with the Urban Village & Urban Hub Team. From time to time there will be events or internal initiatives that the Director will need to lead or collaborate with other departments with the support of the Core team.
Lead on FPP Community meetings – FPP residents meet on monthly basis, provides updates, brief on upcoming events or changes, as well as introduce the team members to the community for support or clarifications. Director takes feedback from tenants and listens to concerns to improve processes.
Operations/Management & Tenant Relations
Oversee continued construction – with the support of the Operations Manager, work with the construction and engineering teams to understand construction implications, make decisions on designs as needed
Recruit new tenants – identity, meet and negotiate with tenants for public-facing spaces (retail, F&B, etc.)
Lead the Factory Community meetings – explaining what is in the pipeline, listening to feedback and concerns, etc.
Concept & Business Development – involves looking for opportunities to lease out our commercial spaces & to grow the FPP community. Needs to be on top of finding new opportunities to work towards the vision, finds new leads to benefit the growth of the project, and leases with potential clients and tenants for FPP Commercial space and office space.
